Team Lazer rocked the Chow’s Challenge Competition this weekend and took home multiple awards, both individually and in the team category. These include several bronze, silver and gold medals!
The Bronze level group took home 4th place team and had an amazing session. There were so many improvements made between the last meet and this one and we could not be more proud. Kaitlyn Gallmeier received 8th place on bars and hit a HUGE goal of making it over on her vault. Hailey Gokey really buckled down this past week and got her skills polished up and was awarded a bronze medal on beam, 6th place on vault, 4th place on bars, and 4th all around. Abigail Yaws took home 5th on vault and I’m 100 percent sure she should’ve gotten bonus points for cuteness. Jayci Young and Zoie Johnson tied for 4th place on vault while Zoie took home 9th all around and Jayci finished 7th all-around. Marcy Moore also placed 5th all around with a solid, clean meet.
The Xcel Silver level group had a KILLER meet compared to the first one. They were so much more focused. Karlee Lowery took home 6th place on bars and floor while also taking home 9th place all around. Allie Haynes came ready to win and received a bronze medal on floor and bars, 5th place on beam and 4th place all around. Solee Valderez kept her nerves in check this week and finished 4th place on beam and 6th place all around.
The Gold level group brought the fire this past weekend!!! Allie Lyons upgraded several skills and landed her punch front which has been a HUGE goal of hers for two full seasons! Dawson Arnold received 6th on balance beam and 9th all around. Morgan Wright had the best bar routine of her life and took home a Gold medal on bars with a 9.5!
Mara Mayland (platinum level) and Alicyn Steffey (diamond level) both finished 7th AA with Ali taking home silver on bars and Mara receiving 2nd place on vault, 3rd on floor and 5th on beam.
We are so incredibly proud of all of the athletes who competed this weekend and can’t wait to continue to watch them grow as the season progresses.
